Our mission is to provide small business owners with the simplest accounting software on the planet that empowers them to do their own bookkeeping and build a successful business.
Hello and thanks for visiting,
‘Cashflow Manager’, the company dedicated to simplifying accounting for small business owners, was founded by Australian accountant Wayne Burgan in 1990 and introduced into the UK in 1994.
Since then, ‘Cashflow Manager’ has been the preferred record keeping tool for thousands of business owners on three continents, for one simple reason... it is designed to be the simplest accounting software on the planet.
The best part is you don’t have to be an accountant, or even understand anything about accounting, or be some sort of computer whiz to implement its many time-saving devices in your business. It is simple, intuitive and keeps accurate records that will withstand the most stringent of audits.
Wayne always had an interest in business and started his first business, a guitar school. at age 14. At 17, Wayne started to study accounting at university, and, at the same time, he took a job with the Australian Taxation Office where he spent 10 years.
As a tax auditor, Wayne saw firsthand the many problems that arose for small business owners simply because they failed to keep accurate records. He found it very frustrating and in some ways sad because he saw countless really good businesses struggle when they should have thrived. And it was all due to poor record keeping.
After 10 years he left the ATO and started an accounting firm, Burgan & Associates, a year later with a focus on helping small business. He quickly found that the biggest problems facing most small business owners could be traced back to not understanding the bookkeeping side of their business.
So he developed a simple, step-by-step system to help his own small business clients keep better books, and Cashflow Manager was born.
Soon after Cashflow Manager was launched in the UK, Lloyds Bank began provided the manual record keeping system to their small business clients and continued to do this for over 10 years.
The software version of Cashflow Manager was released in 1998 and follows the same, easy methodolgy that made the manual system so successful.
The cloud version of 'Cashflow Manager' that allows people to do their bookkeeping over the internet rather than loading software onto their own computer has also been released in 2016. Once again, 'Cashflow Manager Cloud' uses the same 'column' method that made the book and the PC software so easy to use.
It does not matter whether someone uses the manual system, the PC software or the new 'Cashflow Manager Cloud', the unique 'column' method used by 'Cashflow Manager' will help you keep great records for your small business even when you have not been trained in accounting.
Whichever option you use, we trust you will find it to be 'the simplest small business accounting solution on the planet!'
